COMMON STORKSBILL Erodium cicutarium

A small low- growing annual herb with alternate, pinnate, leaves. Stems grow up to 40cm. Flowers are rosy-purple and may be seen December to January.

Introduced and naturalised, a native of Southern Europe. Although scarce Common storksbill is now widely scattered across the Falkland Islands, found in waste areas around settlements, coastal heath and improved grasslands.
